Washington announces easing of lockdown
The mayor of Washington has announced that the lockdown is being eased due to a reduction in the corona virus in the city, and restaurants and other businesses may reopen due to physical distance.
Washington Mayor Moriel Bowser told a news conference that citizens would no longer be allowed to stay at home and that the city would begin reopening on Friday. ۔
He said that keeping in mind the principles of physical distance and hygiene, restaurants would be able to have only outdoor dining tables while it would be necessary to keep a distance of six feet between the tables.
Morrell Bowser added that retail businesses will be able to facilitate pick-ups and deliveries, while barber shops and salons will be able to operate only by appointment.
He also said that parks, golf courses and tennis courts would be opened but public ponds and playgrounds would remain closed.
